Wedding DJs in Maidstone

Wedding DJs in Maidstone who fill the floor and leave the mic alone

Club-trained DJs covering Maidstone, the barn venues around the town and the country houses in the villages beyond. Full sound and lighting, proper mixing, and a planner that gets the music settled long before the day itself.

Maidstone, and everything within a short drive of it

Maidstone is ringed by wedding venues. Hotels and function rooms in the town, converted barns in the fields around it, and country houses tucked into the villages on either side of the Medway — plenty of them ten minutes from the high street and feeling an hour from anywhere. Our DJs are based in Kent, so Maidstone is local work rather than a long haul. That means an unhurried load-in, a sound check while the room is still empty, and no clock-watching at the end of the night. We've been working Kent barns, hotels and country houses since 2014, so most rooms around the town hold few surprises. If yours is new to us, send the name over and we'll do the groundwork before the day.

What a Maidstone wedding booking includes

You get a DJ from the collective matched to your music, not whoever happens to be free. All of them are club-trained — proper mixing, proper selection, no cheesy mic work between tracks. The booking covers a full sound and lighting rig sized to the room you're actually in, which matters when it's a barn with a high roof one week and a hotel function room the next. A wireless microphone is there for speeches and announcements. Everything is PAT-tested and we're fully insured, so the venue's paperwork is covered without a scramble the week before. The collective has played 1200+ events since 2014, so the kit and the routine are settled. Uplighting and a photo booth are available as add-ons if you want the room lifted or something for guests to do between dances.

Planning it, well before the day

Every booking comes with an online planner. You build three lists — Must Plays, Play If Possible and Do Not Plays — and they carry more weight than anything else we could ask you for. Most couples fill theirs in slowly over months, which is the right way to do it. Then we go through timings: when the room opens, when the first dance lands, where the speeches sit, and how long you want the floor running. If your venue has a coordinator, we work to their run sheet. If there's a turnaround between the wedding breakfast and the evening, we plan for it rather than discovering it on the day. Some venues run a sound limiter. Tell us early and we'll size and set the rig around it instead of fighting it at 9pm.

Parties, birthdays and corporate nights in Maidstone

Weddings are the bulk of the work, but the same DJs take on private and corporate DJ hire in Maidstone across the rest of the calendar — milestone birthdays, anniversaries, engagement parties, staff nights and company events in the town's hotels and function rooms. Bar and club residencies are where most of our DJs came up, and it shows in how they handle a room that hasn't been handed a running order. The kit and the approach don't change. Sound and lighting sized to the venue, a set built around the crowd in front of us rather than a playlist decided weeks earlier, and someone behind the decks who can tell when a room is about to go and when it needs another ten minutes.

Common questions

Before you book

Do you cover Maidstone and the villages around it?

Yes. Our DJs are based in Kent, so Maidstone, the Medway valley and the villages on either side of it are close to home. That covers the barn venues out in the fields and the country houses further along the lanes, as well as the hotels in the town. Send the venue name over with your date and we'll confirm cover for that night.

What if our venue isn't one you've played before?

Not a problem. We check access times, power, parking and where the booth can sit before the day, and we speak to the venue if anything is unclear. Kent barns, hotels and country houses are where our DJs have spent the last decade, so a room we haven't played still behaves like rooms we have. Nothing gets worked out in front of your guests.

When do you set up, and can you work around our venue's timings?

We set up before guests come into the room wherever the venue allows it, and work to whatever access window they give us. If there's a turnaround between the wedding breakfast and the evening, we plan it with your coordinator so the room changes over without a fuss. Some Maidstone venues run a sound limiter. Tell us in advance and we size the rig for it.

How far ahead should we book, and can guests request songs?

Peak Saturdays around Maidstone go early, so it's worth checking your date as soon as the venue is booked. Midweek and off-season dates stay open longer. Requests on the night are welcome and our DJs take them, reading the floor rather than working through a fixed set. Your Do Not Play list always overrules a request, so nothing you've ruled out gets played.

Tell us your date and your Maidstone venue, and we'll come back with who's free and a price.
