Kent Wedding DJs

Wedding DJs in Kent. Home turf since 2014.

We are a collective of club-trained wedding DJs based in Kent, covering the whole county from the Weald out to the coast. Full sound and lighting, an online planning form you fill in yourself, and a DJ who reads the room rather than running a script.

Covering the county, end to end

Kent is home. We are based near Paddock Wood, which puts most of the county within an easy drive. West Kent covers Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks and the villages around them. Mid Kent takes in Maidstone, Ashford and the Weald. Medway means Rochester, Chatham, Gillingham and Strood. East Kent runs out to Canterbury, Dover, Deal and the coastal towns, and we play there through the summer as often as anywhere else. Because we are a collective rather than one person with a diary, more than one DJ can cover the same date — so a busy Saturday is not automatically a no. Send your venue along with your date and we will confirm travel when we check availability.

Barns, oasts, castles and coast

Kent weddings tend to happen in a handful of building types, and each one behaves differently once the music starts. Converted barns and oast houses have hard surfaces and high roofs, so the rig has to be controlled rather than loud. Castles and historic houses often come with restrictions of their own. Country house estates spread guests between a garden and a marquee. Coastal venues bring wind, glass and a room that empties outside the moment the light does anything interesting. We cover the venues couples ask about most across the county — The Orangery in Maidstone, Lympne Castle, The Little Hermitage and the Spa Hotel in Tunbridge Wells each have a page of their own — alongside barns, halls and hotels countywide. Whatever the venue, we check access, power, curfew and any sound limit with them beforehand, so nothing on the night arrives as a surprise.

What the night actually looks like

Every Choice DJ is club-trained. Proper mixing, proper selection — reading what the floor is doing and responding to it, rather than working down a set list in order. No cheesy mic work, no shouting over the records. Sound and lighting come sized to the room instead of dropped in at one setting, and there is a microphone for speeches and toasts. Uplighting in your colours and a photo booth are available as add-ons if you want the space to look different once the tables clear. All the kit is PAT-tested and we carry full public liability insurance — venues ask for both as a matter of course, and we can send the paperwork straight to yours.

Booking and planning, in plain steps

Start by sending the date and the venue. We will tell you quickly whether we have a DJ free. Once you are booked you get our online planning form. You set out the music you want, the music you would rather avoid, and the timings for arrival, speeches, first dance and last song. Change it as often as you like while the plans firm up. Closer to the day we run through the timings with you, then handle the rest between us and the venue. Your DJ arrives with time to set up quietly, checks the running order with whoever is coordinating on the day, and plays the wedding you planned rather than the one they usually play. If the running order shifts on the night, and it usually shifts somewhere, your DJ adjusts rather than pushing on regardless.

Common questions

Before you book

Do you cover the whole of Kent?

Yes. We are based in the Paddock Wood area and work across the county end to end — West Kent, Mid Kent, the Medway towns, Ashford and the Weald, and out through East Kent to the coast. We also cover Greater London and the wider South East. Send your venue with your date and we will confirm travel when we check availability.

How far ahead should we book a wedding DJ?

As early as you comfortably can. Peak Saturdays between May and September go first, and popular Kent venues often have several weddings chasing the same weekend. Many couples book twelve to eighteen months out. We do fill late dates and short-notice gaps, and being a collective means we can sometimes cover a date one DJ cannot, so it is always worth asking.

Do you only do weddings?

No. Weddings are the bulk of what we do, but the collective came out of clubs and bars. We cover corporate events, birthdays and private parties, and our DJs hold bar and club residencies through the year. That is where the mixing stays sharp — a wedding floor is easier to read when you spend the rest of the week reading harder ones.

Can we choose the music, and can guests make requests?

Both. The online planning form is where you set out what you want played and what you would rather never hear, so the shape of the night is yours. On the night your DJ also takes requests from guests and weighs them against what the room is doing. Anything you have ruled out stays off, and anything that would clear the floor gets held until it fits.

Send us your date and venue, and we will tell you which of our DJs is free.
