Covering Dover, Folkestone, Deal and Hythe
We're based near Paddock Wood, which puts the whole of the south-east coast within easy reach. Dover, Folkestone, Deal and Hythe all sit inside the area we cover, not somewhere we treat as a special trip. That matters more than it sounds. A DJ who knows the run down the M20 arrives early, sets up without rushing and has time to walk the room before a guest is in it. Rushed setups are where most of the trouble on a wedding day starts. If a call before you book would help you decide, that's easy to arrange. We've been doing this since 2014, with over 1200 events across Kent, London and the South East behind us, and the Kent coast has always been part of the ground we cover.
Castles, clifftops and seafront hotels
The venues along this stretch have real character and almost nothing in common with each other. One room is a stone-walled hall with a ceiling that throws sound in every direction. The next is a clifftop function room with glass on three sides, or a seafront hotel suite with a low ceiling and a hard floor. Each wants a different rig and a different approach to volume. We size the sound and lighting to the room rather than turning up with one system and hoping it fits. That's why we ask about the venue early — access, power, ceiling height and where the dancefloor sits all change what goes in the van. Village halls and marquees inland
Head a few miles back from the coast and the picture changes again. Village halls, barns and marquees on family land are common right across this part of Kent — the villages behind Deal, the lanes inland from Hythe, the farms up on the Downs. They raise practical questions no hotel ever does. Where's the power coming from. What time does the noise have to stop. Is there hard standing for the van, or a hundred metres of wet grass between it and the dancefloor. We ask all of that early rather than finding out on the day. We're fully insured with PAT-tested equipment, and certificates go to your venue as soon as they're asked for. Uplighting is worth thinking about in a plain hall or a marquee — it changes a room more than anything else you can add. Photo booths and other extras are there if you want them.
Club-trained DJs, not a playlist on shuffle
Our DJs come from clubbing backgrounds. Proper mixing, proper selection, no cheesy mic work — no games, no shouting over an intro, no running your evening off a script. Before the day you fill in an online planning form covering must-plays, play-if-possibles and a do-not-play list. The do-not-play list matters as much as the other two, so be honest with it. First dance, the point where the floor needs to fill, the last track of the night — we agree those with you rather than guessing. Guests can request on the evening, and a good DJ knows which requests to take and which to quietly leave. Reading the room is the job. If the floor is full, we're not changing direction because one person at the bar fancies something that would clear it.

Before you book
Do you really travel this far down the coast?
We do. We're based near Paddock Wood, and Dover, Folkestone, Deal, Hythe and the villages inland all sit inside the area we cover. The distance changes nothing about the setup — same DJs, same equipment, same early arrival. Send us the venue and the date when you enquire and we'll come straight back to you on availability.
Can you work in an older venue like a castle or a clifftop hall?
Yes. Older buildings usually mean thick walls, high ceilings, awkward access and limited power, so the answer is a rig sized to that space rather than the biggest one we own. We'll ask about access, power and any sound restrictions well before the day, and we'll speak to the venue directly if that's easier for you.
Can we choose the music, and can guests make requests?
Both. You fill in an online planning form covering must-plays, play-if-possible tracks and anything you never want to hear. That's the frame for the whole night. Guests can request on the evening and our DJs take what fits the room. Nothing goes on that you've put on the do-not-play list.
What time do we have to finish?
That's set by your venue's licence and any noise limits, not by us, so check it early — curfews vary a lot from one venue to the next. Once you know yours, tell us and we'll build the evening around it, including where the last few tracks land. Far better to plan for a hard stop than run into one.
