Christmas and New Year

Christmas party DJs across Kent and London

Company parties, office nights, family gatherings and New Year — we play them all across Kent, London and the South East. Club-trained DJs who read the room, work around the meal and the speeches, and keep a mixed crowd dancing until the venue calls time.

Corporate Christmas parties: one floor, every department

A company Christmas party is a harder room than most people expect. Departments that barely speak the rest of the year, all on one floor at the same time. That takes a DJ who watches what the room is doing rather than working down a set list. We build the night around your running order. Awards, speeches, a raffle, the slideshow that overruns — tell us roughly when they land and we hold the room for them, then pick the energy back up afterwards. Sit-down meal service is normal in December, so we plan around the courses instead of fighting them. The finish time belongs to the venue, so we work backwards from it. The last half hour should be the best half hour of the night.

Decide the Christmas music brief before the night

Christmas is the one time of year when the brief changes the night. Some rooms want a proper Christmas set — the standards, the singalongs, all of it. Most want a normal party set with a handful of Christmas tracks dropped in at the right moments. A few want none at all, because it has been on loop in the office since November. All three work. Decide which one you are before the night rather than at nine o'clock on the dancefloor. Every booking comes with an online planning form: must-play, play-if-possible and do-not-play. The do-not-play list earns its keep at Christmas, because one wrong track will clear a floor faster than a fire alarm. Our DJs take requests on the night as well, and read them against the room rather than playing everything handed over.

December dates, tight turnarounds and the venue's clock

December Saturdays go first, and they go early. The busiest stretch is the first three weeks of the month, when most company parties land. Fridays and midweek dates hold on longer, and plenty of good parties happen on a Wednesday. Turnarounds are tight through December because venues host parties back to back. We arrive early, set up inside the window the venue gives us, keep out of the way of the caterers and clear down without dragging it out. Full sound and lighting, sized to the room — a function suite and a private room upstairs need different rigs. Uplighting and a photo booth are available if you want the space to look like more than a meeting room. Everything is PAT-tested and we are fully insured, and most venues want that paperwork before the date.

Private Christmas and New Year parties across Kent and London

Not every December booking is a work do. We play family Christmas parties, birthdays that fall in the season, village halls hired for the night, and New Year's Eve — which is its own job. A room that has been drinking since eight has to arrive at the countdown in the right state, then keep going for another two hours after it. Mixed ages are the norm at these. Grandparents at one end of the room, teenagers at the other, and one floor that has to work for both. Every DJ we send is club-trained — proper mixing, proper selection, no cheesy mic work over the top of it. That skill is the same whether the crowd is family or finance department. We are based near Paddock Wood and cover Kent, Greater London and the South East, from Tunbridge Wells and Maidstone across to the London boroughs. Trading since 2014, 1200+ events.

Common questions

Before you book

How far ahead should we book a DJ for December?

Sooner than you think. December Saturdays go first, particularly in the run-up to the middle of the month when most company parties land. Fridays and midweek dates stay available longer. If your venue and date are confirmed, get the DJ booked next — send us the postcode and we will tell you what is free.

Do you play Christmas music all night?

Only if you want us to. Most rooms prefer a normal party set with a handful of Christmas tracks placed where they will land — the arrival, the meal, a couple of moments later on. Some want the full Christmas set. Some want none of it by mid-December. Tell us on the planning form and we will build it that way.

Can you DJ in our office rather than a venue?

Yes. Office parties work well once we know the space — where the power is, how much room there is to clear, what time the building needs everyone out, and whether there are neighbours to think about. We size the sound and lighting to the room rather than turning up with a nightclub rig. Send photos and we will tell you what fits.

Do you cover London as well as Kent?

Both. We are based near Paddock Wood and cover Kent, Greater London and the wider South East — Tunbridge Wells, Maidstone, Canterbury, the Medway towns and across the London boroughs. New Year's Eve and the December Saturdays go first wherever you are, so send the venue and postcode with your enquiry.

Send us the date, the venue and what kind of room it is. December fills in the order people ask.
