Private parties and birthdays
Birthdays, engagements, anniversaries, retirement dos — the parties people remember run on the right record at the right moment. Our club-trained DJs read the floor in front of them, take requests all night, and bring sound and lighting sized to your room.
Most party bookings start with a milestone — 18ths, 21sts, 30ths, 40ths, 50ths and well beyond. The rest are the occasions that deserve a proper floor: engagement parties, anniversaries, christenings, retirement dos, leaving drinks, and house and garden parties that started as drinks and grew. A function room of two hundred and a back garden of thirty are different rooms, but the thinking behind the set is the same. Each one wants something different. An 18th needs energy from the first record. A 40th wants the tunes people fell in love with at nineteen, mixed properly rather than shuffled off a playlist. A retirement do wants a warm, low first hour before anyone dances at all. So we ask what the night is for before we ask what you want played — that shapes more of the set than a genre list ever does.
Weddings are a big part of what we do, and a party is a different job. There is no speeches slot, no first dance, no cake cut to build around, so there is no ready-made cue to get people up. The DJ has to make that moment instead — reading who is in the room and moving when the room is ready, not when a running order says so. Parties are also far more request-driven. Guests come to the booth all night, and a good DJ takes the request, finds the right place for it and keeps the mix intact rather than dropping it in cold and emptying the floor. Our DJs come from clubbing backgrounds — proper mixing, proper selection, no cheesy mic work. You get someone who talks when it is useful and otherwise gets on with it.
A village hall, a hotel function room, a marquee on the lawn and a big living room all need different rigs. We size the system to the space rather than arriving with one setup and hoping — enough to fill a hall, restrained enough that a house party does not turn into an argument with the neighbours or a shouting match over the bar. Lighting works the same way. A full floor package where there is a floor to light, something smaller and warmer at home, and uplighting around the walls if you want the room transformed before the first guest arrives. Everything is PAT-tested and we are fully insured, and venues usually want to see both in writing well before the date.
Once you are booked you get our online planning form: must-play, play-if-possible and do-not-play lists, plus timings and anything we should know about the crowd. The do-not-play list matters more than people expect — it is often the difference between a floor that stays full and one that clears on a single bad record. Uplighting, a photo booth and other add-ons can go on any party booking. We are based near Paddock Wood and cover Kent properly — Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Maidstone, Sevenoaks, Ashford, Canterbury and the coast — along with Greater London and the wider South East. DJing since 2014, with 1200+ events behind us. Send the date, the venue and a rough headcount and we will tell you what fits.

Common questions
Most parties are mixed-age rooms, and the answer is sequencing rather than compromise. You do not split the night into an oldies hour and a young people hour — you move between decades so nobody sits out for long. The DJ watches who is dancing and who is drifting towards the bar, then adjusts as the night goes.
Not at all — we play house and garden parties as well as venues. We bring a system scaled to the space, keep the footprint tight so you are not losing half a room to kit, and set levels so people can still hold a conversation. If you have a noise cut-off or close neighbours, tell us and we will plan around it.
Both. Send your must-plays, play-if-possibles and anything you never want to hear through the online planning form, and we build the night around it. From there the DJ reads the floor and takes requests from guests as they come. A clear steer and a firm do-not-play list is usually all we need.
Yes — Kent, Greater London and the South East. On timing, Saturdays and peak-season dates are the first to go, so get in touch as soon as you have a date and a venue. Midweek and shorter notice are often still workable. Ask either way and we will tell you straight whether we can cover it.
Tell us whose party it is, where it is happening and roughly who is coming — we will take it from there.
